U.S. Business Leadership Network Commends President Obama's Disability Agenda

WASHINGTON, DC (January 21, 2009) - The US Business Leadership Network (USBLN(R)) today commended the disability agenda released by President Barack Obama. The disability agenda addresses all facets of community life, including educational opportunities, ending discrimination and promoting opportunities, increasing employment and supporting community-based living. Departing ODEP Assistant Secretary Sets the Pace for Full Inclusion for People with Disabilities

Neil Romano officially leaves ODEP as Assistant Secretary on January 20, 2009. During his brief tenure, Mr. Romano mobilized all ODEP resources and gained public attention regarding critical issues preventing full inclusion of people with disabilities in the workplace. AERA Undergraduate Student Education Research Training Workshop

AERA is seeking potential candidates for the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Undergraduate Student Education Research Training Workshop. Offered during the 2009 AERA Annual Meeting in San Diego, the workshop is intended to increase the talent pool of undergraduate students who plan to pursue doctorate degrees in education research or in disciplines and fields that examine education issues. The workshop will focus on applying to graduate school, pursuing graduate education, and education research as a field. Federal Asian Pacific Council Leadership Training and Conference-May 11- 15, 2009

The Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC), the premier organization representing Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) employees in the Federal and District of Columbia governments, will hold its 24th National Annual Leadership Training Conference on May 11-15, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Houston, Texas. Each year the Office of Personnel Management approves the conference as appropriate training for federal employees for many years. The newly elected President, Mr. Farook Sait, announced that the organization will exert its greatest effort to stage a great conference in spite of the current economic downturn.
