Sixth Online Course Starting SoonThe sixth online course, “Introduction to Disability/Rehabilitation with Asian/Pacific Islander Americans,” facilitated by NTAC-AAPI, will begin April 8, 2007. The teachers are Paul Leung, Professor and Director of the Department of Rehabilitation, Social Work, and Addictions at the University of North Texas, and Nan Zhang Hampton, Associate Professor of the Department of Administration, Rehabilitation, and Postsecondary Education at San Diego State University. This course is a wonderful opportunity to increase your cultural competence and enhance your counseling abilities. Tuition is $20 for the sixth online course, which earns ten Continuing Education Units (CEUs) that may be applied to your CRC. For information, please send an email to James D. The Maternal and Child Health Research Program will award grants for the following purpose: Extramural MCH Research Program to support applied research relating to maternal and child health services, which show promise of substantial contribution to the advancement of current knowledge pool. Findings of this research should result in health and health services improvements in States and communities. Research proposals should address critical MCH questions relating to public health systems and infrastructure, health disparities, quality of care, and promoting the health of MCH populations. The NIH is interested in promoting research and developments in computational science and technology that will support rapid progress in areas of scientific opportunity in biomedical research.
